Do you know that Congress has introduced a bill that would endanger women’s health? Do you know this bill would make it harder for Black women to obtain health insurance or keep the insurance they already have? Do you know this bill would raise taxes for individuals and their families if they purchase insurance plans with comprehensive reproductive health care?
Join us on Wednesday, February 16 as the Black Women’s Health Imperative hosts a roundtable discussion on H.R.3, also known as "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act." We will provide information on H.R. 3 including how this bill is misleading and harmful to women’s health. Invited guests will also discuss the work they are doing to fight against this bill that unfairly targets low income women and women of color.
"H.R. 3, a high priority bill deceptively entitled, “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” and dubbed the “Smith Bill” (Smith, R-NJ) is dangerous, unfair and misleading," - Eleanor Hinton Hoytt, Imperative President and CEO
