While she started out naming food and things that make people fat and drunk, her clients quickly discovered that she also had a talent for naming things you don't put in your mouth – from robots to rock concerts. Since then, Alexandra and her team have generated thousands of evocative names and taglines for dream clients including iconic pop culture brands like Hasbro, Frito-Lay, and Duncan Donuts. Alexandra first got hooked on naming when the Gap hired her to create cheeky names for their first line of body care products. Soon after, she broke into the business by weaseling her way into branding powerhouse Landor via a Match.com date. Prior to Eat My Words, Alexandra was an advertising copywriter for 20+ years, working at leading ad agencies up and down the West Coast. She gets her passport stamped as often as possible and has eaten her way through 40 countries.
