Wheeler Peak, Nevada, not to be confused with its namesake in New Mexico, is the second tallest mountain in Nevada. Located in Snake Range of the Great Basin, Wheeler Peak (13,065 ft.) is just 81 feet shorter than the tallest peak in NV, Boundary Peak (13,146 ft.). In this episode of In Ice Axe We Trust, Chris and Matt discuss what it takes to climb Wheeler Peak with a guest who has, to put it lightly, logged a few miles on the trails in his lifetime.
