So I have a record of this. In April 2011, U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee's Internet subcommittee held a meeting about whether search engines like Google should be held accountable for displaying websites that are selling conterfeit goods, pirated items, etc. They blame on delivering legislation this year to address this "issue", to attack so called "parasite" websites offering free, unauthorized copies of digital songs, movies, sell conterfeit shoes, hand bags and everything else no doubt that has a BRAND.

My God, this sounds like the Honey Do list from Corporations who want the Government to police their brands/trademarks. AND another way to  CENSOR and eliminate competition on legitimate transactions. They also want to give new agency powers to ICE & DOJ. I ask why, again, go after Google. Look at all the Counterfeits from Ebay all these years. Apparently this committee forgot we already have FTC and other agency powers in place with pre-existing legislation
