My name is Heather and I live in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California. I am happily married to my best friend and soul mate. We work hard together AND play hard together, spending about 99% of our time with one another. I am very lucky.

I love animals, music, movies, tv, writing, painting, being with friends & family, pop culture, karaoke, eating good food, and traveling. I enjoy snow skiing and am learning to play the guitar.

I have been known to start many projects but finish few. This is because I love to try new things. I may not focus 100% for a long stretch of time but I eventually go back to most things when I'm ready.

I am a cancer and fit very well into what you read about cancers. I am a moon child and am affected by changes in it. My moods might change very easily but I am emotional and sensitive; protective and nurturing. I am also a fighter and stand up for what I believe in. I have been called stubborn more than once, by more than one person! I try to help others when I can but have learned to be cautious. We are all in control of ourselves; our emotions and behaviors. No one has the power to change that, unless you allow them to do so. We can't change or control others, but we can use them as an example of how we want to be viewed by others. Each day is a new beginning and if there is something you want to do or become, it's never too late.

I have a strong belief in God and in the afterlife. I have faith that we will one day be reunited with our loved ones that have passed before us. Everything happens for a reason, and there are no coincidences in life. You meet every single person, both good and bad, for a purpose...to learn from that experience and be a better person because of it.

One of the best things I have learned is to let go of things. It is very hard to do, but once you do, a giant weight will be lifted from your shoulders. Trust me. Unmanaged stress will make you sick, both inside and out. The need to be right all of the time is just plain dumb...and impossible. Open up your mind to things and challenge yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone every once in a while. Never stop learning something new. Drop the resentment, guilt, and unforgiving feelings... leave them behind and don't look back.

Karma is a very real thing. What goes around comes around. This world is not flat. What you put out there will eventually make its way back to you. So put good out into the world, and good things will happen to you, too! You are only going to attract more negativity if that's what you carry around all the time.

I try to show the people I love how much I appreciate them, as often as I can. I take advantage of opportunities when they are presented to me. I know all too well that things can change in the matter of moments. You might not be given those opportunities again. I am certain that at the end of my life, I will have lived more than most people ever will...even if I pass tomorrow.

I'm new to BTR and am enjoying meeting new people on here. Add me to your friend list, if you like. I have no interest in starting my own show. But I enjoy chatting with friends in the chat rooms and listening to everyone have fun and contribute something positive to the world.
