    Creativity Consultant Nellie Jacobs chats with Fran Schwartz, Pianist, Lecturer, Teacher, Cruise Enrichment Speaker, Arts Volunteer. Theme-Creative Innovation. By the age of four, she could identify each musical note and had perfect pitch. She was a child protégé who loved her piano lessons. When she abruptly quit as a teen, her music teacher cried. In this interview, Fran shares details of growing up with music, why she stopped playing, what she's done in the years since and the circuitous road she took to return to music and a musical career. (Here's a hint: she kept in touch with her extraordinary piano teacher until the woman died recently at the age of 102.) Fran discusses her views about the downside of exposing children to too many extra curricular activities, the quality of education and learning today, the epiphany that led her to leave a very brief fulltime public school teaching career and how she creatively forged an innovative thriving career combining elements of her education, experiences, interests and talents. We also have the added pleasure of listening to excerpts of Fran's piano-playing taken from her CD Encore: Favorite Classics. Fran is currently Vice President and Program Chair of a Philadelphia Orchestra volunteer committee, serves on the Boards of two chapters of PA Music Teachers Association and for a considerable period of time was active in a group called Art Goes to School that brings art into elementary schools.

In this interview, Wendy shares how she's analyzed her situation at turning points in her life and makes decisions when she's ready to move into another direction. Wendy describes the background, philosophy and evolution of Laughter Yoga, how/why she chose to become qualified to lead it and leads us in a few exercises. She also provide 10 points outlining her own philosophy and attitude. Wendy has an M.B.A. and Certificate in Adult Education. She is Principal of Watershed Training Solutions, a training company she founded in 2003. 'Laughter is the Best Medicine' is Wendy's unique flagship workshop.

    Nellie Jacobs interviews Marci Segal,Co-founder Creativity and Innovation Week (CIW) worldwide (April 15-21 every year. In between dropping out of high schools, Marci travelled through Europe and the Mid-east. Having had no family support whatsoever throughout her early years, she shares with us some of what she learned and how she managed to sustain herself, find and follow her passions, and blaze a truly unique trail. Who were her mentors? What roadblocks did she overcome - and how did she turn them into the foundation of her professional life? Why and how did she co-found Creativity and Innovation Week in 2002, now celebrated in in over 106 locations covering 46 countries? Marci answers these questions and also offers ten points of advice about optimizing your creativity. Marci attended the International Center for Studies in Creativity in New York. She has served as guest lecturer at Universities worldwide. She currently sits on the board of the American Creativity Association and is the recipient of numerous awards. Marci has an M.S. (Creativity). Founder and president of Creativityland Inc., she motivates teams into action by creating impactful shifts in attitude and behaviour. An accredited authority in creativity and innovation and proponent of non-traditional, "action-learning" methods, she works with corporations, non-profit organizations and all levels of government, empowering them with practical tips, tools and techniques.     Nellie Jacobs interviews Neil Doctorow: PEAC School For Elite Athletes. How does a person who was an elementary and high school student with multiple suspensions and expulsions grow up to become co-founder and managing director of an elite athletes' private school? How did he manage to leave the public school system only to be kicked out of an alternative school? What factors turned this failing student into an "A" university honours graduate? What insights did he learn about himself? Why did he become a teacher? Why did he keep quitting his teaching jobs in the public school system? What motivated him to start his own private school?
