The IFCD Bone Health Initiative was established in order to improve the bone health of persons with disability secondary to Chronic Brain Dysfunction (CBD). Dr. Philip May will interview Dr Sunil Wimalawansa regarding basic understanding of the causes of and treatments for osteoporosis. Specific questions will be asked: What exactly is osteoporosis? How is post-menopausal osteoporosis different from pre-menopausal osteoporosis? What non-pharmaceutical treatments are available? What pharmaceutical treatments are currently available?
