Charles Jett has served as the Sheriff of Stafford County, Virginia, since 2000. His law enforcement career spans 30 years with the Stafford Sheriff’s Office. Rising through the ranks, he served as Field Operations Commander prior to being elected Sheriff.

Located 35 miles south of Washington D.C., the county Sheriff Jett polices is one of the fastest growing in Virginia. He began his law enforcement career when he joined the Stafford Sheriff’s Office at the age of 19. During his tenure he served in various positions from Field Operations to Criminal Investigations. In 1991 he was promoted to Captain in Charge of Field Operations where he served until 1999 when he was elected Sheriff.

Charles leads a department of over 240 members and provides primary law enforcement service for the citizens of Stafford County.  He will be joined by Mr. Aston Haughton, who is President of the Stafford County NAACP where he has served in several leadership capacities for several years.
