What does it mean to be an American?
Tonight's show question was initiated as a result of a political pollster who called my home recently who used fearmongering and partisan politics to get their message across. When I gave the pollster an answer they obviously couldn't deal with, she ended the questioning and hung up, leading me to ask myself "WHY can't people be AMERICANS FIRST?".
This also raises anopther question...Are people EMBARRASSED to admit to being Americans first?
No matter what side of the moral and political spectrum you fall on, last time I checked we're ALL Americans first...isn't anyone proud of that fact anymore?
