co-founder of BestHomeHealthCare.com,  MyCareFolder, and Care-n-Share.Bill had first hand experience with what being a caregiver is all about. 14 years ago he was a family caregiver for his mother who choose hospice at home. She died of lung cancer.  In Bill’s words: “Mom was a very active person socially in the community and church.  So there was a constant stream of visitors and phone calls at times when you just wanted peace and quiet. There was no Internet back then. Now support groups can be set up and coordinated online to update family, friends and coordinate visits and volunteer activities which is wonderful--that experience helped Bill create Care-n-Share (one of Bill’s wonderful websites).But that wasn’t all. 5 years ago Bill’s caregiving experience was expanded further when he moved in with his Father who was diagnosed with ALZ-Dementia. He was his father’s primary caregiver until his father passed away. “I viewed it as a blessing not a chore to give back to a man who had given so much to me. It can be very frustrating at times but like life you have good days and bad ones. He was on a lot of medications and saw 4 different doctors so keeping everything organized and accessible to other family members was very important.” Bill’s developed MyCareFolder for keeping track of the gazillion details that can make the difference between good patient care and catastrophe.Both experiences, along with his keen interest in health care delivery, have helped formulate what was required to create BestHomeHealthCare.com.
