LIANA KALLIEROU - JOURNEY of WOMEN

This is not about one woman’s journey,but women in Europe who found their voice and new life.At the age of 40, all of a sudden, I felt that my life has been changed, my character has been changed, by behavior has been changed. I got terrified because I understood that everything has happened without my consent! I felt a void inside, a lack of control on what is happening around me and the impact I had on my environment.My only daughter, whom I  raised as a single parent since she was two years old went to Chicago University and I did volunteer work as the president of a nursery school of orphan and underprivileged children. It came to an end,because of a New Leftist government in Greece. I took control of my life by studying Human Development in the Psychology Department, in order to study numerous scientific studies on the subject of aging. It was crucial for me to have the proper information in order to take charge of my life over time, lest I become its victim. I expressed this in writing in order to share with women after 40, urging them to view the future with optimism and adopt positive role models in order to reject the cheap and easy cliché that we are constantly bombarded. To achieve a deeper understanding of themselves and to be able to draw upon deeper resources in order to handle a variety of emotional, psychological or social crises that heretofore would have lead them to an impasse. It was like pursuing a new career and I was dedicated to succeed. And I did!
