Bob was the person who convinced me to go into teaching. All the thousands I have positively impacted owe him for that. We met when I was 17 and an egomaniacal athlete who thought I was unstoppable in touch football. I learned he was already an expert in bowling and any kind of sport with a racquet. In high school he was the tennis singles conference champion. He continued to be a tennis champion in junior college and then at UCLA. The amazing thing about Bob is that he still (at 80) continues to play and at 75 he was a Senior Champion. He and his beautiful wife, Betty, have and do help develop tennis tournaments in California and around the country. We will discuss how he has managed to continue his athletic career at such a high level for so long. I think his story will inspire you to make exercise and athletics a life long practice that will make your life healthier and happier.
