Detecting the Scam:Nelson Mandala's Gift is a must read book. Angle #1.  Nelson Mandela's remarkable negotiations with the South African government emphasized the point you made, namely, the need to compromise and be flexible when appropriate. I don't know if you had an opportunity to listen to my interview last Sunday, but I did elaborate on this there. We could then chat about his general negotiating skills, which are quite fascinating.Angle #2.  I believe that the deans of our schools bear a large amount of responsibility for the recent high-profile scams in the sense that the deans lacked Nelson Mandela's moral authority and leadership skills. In some respects, I believe they are thereby responsible for the twin crises we now face -- the crisis of pervasive cheating and the crisis of those who look the other way as those around them cheat.Angle #3.  I created The Duck School, the school of common sense. I think that, if the schools did a better job teaching its principles, we would all be better served.

I am an international business attorney and CEO.
