He is a new author who has written his memoir. Commander  Clubb was sexually abused as a boy by his father, a southern Baptist Minister.  Commander Clubb was a member of Oprah Winfrey's ground breaking show on Male Sex Abuse Survivor's in November of this year.  "I appreciate you allowing me to speak candidly and honestly about my experiences, my healing and now my hope."  He is a native of Louisville and will be featured in the February 2011 issue of Kentucky Magazine.  This journey that he’s been on has enabled him to go from the darkness into the light and celebrate the hope of healing.  His sincerest motivation is to continue this journey of healing leading the way for those that are on the same path as him but at different points. His story starts at the age of six with a brutal rape by his father, a former southern Baptist preacher and deacon of his church.  It ends with his 50th birthday, the birthday he considers to be his very first without fear since he was often attacked by his father on his birthdays and on Christmas Day.   This story is not one of tragedy but of hope, forgiveness, redemption, change and truth written by him entitled “boys cry too”. The statistics of this abuse is alarming and shameful.  As a nation we spend more on Plastic surgery and hand sanitizers and ignore a child's cry for help. You can find further information and a biography on his website:  www.johnmarkclubb.com.    Commander Clubb started a book tour on Sunday, November 7th.  Commander Clubb is also a speaker for the organization  RAINN(Rape Abuse Incest and National Network) based in Washington, DC.  Commander Clubb would like the opportunity to speak to your audience about this subject and to also reach many military men and women that may be members of your listening audience.
