After only two years in the book industry, Miasha has five best-selling novels, a short story in an anthology, and a sixth highly anticipated novel due out July 2009, which publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster coined “Miasha” month. During “Miasha” month, Miasha is the only fe- male urban literature author companywide able to put out a book in July. Now, on the horizon is the second showing of Miasha’s production, Secret Society the Stage Play, in May 2009 in her hometown Philadelphia. Miasha brings the streets to the stage with the controversial adaptation of her debut novel, Secret Society. She plans on solidifying her brand in the theatre and film industries as she has so eloquently done in the publishing industry. The founder of the Ask Miasha Foundation, this benevolent wife and mother of two has her mind set on giving back to the less fortunate. Having grown up with both parents addicted to drugs and in an environment that could have easily led her astray, she has come a long way and wishes the same for people coming up behind her. Her motto, “Don’t dream your life, Live your dreams” inspires people from all walks of life and according to her it is her ability to motivate and uplift people that is her biggest and most rewarding accomplishment to date.
