As a former collegiate lecturer and middle/high school teacher, she has a deep background. as a public speaker and does both elementary and high school convocations. After editing for a major publishing house, Hetty Gray formed Sugar Creek Publishing, publisher of her three books, Net Prophet: The Bill Garrett Story (2001), a biography of the first Negro to play basketball in the Big Ten Conference at Indiana University in 1947; a work of fiction, The Brown Paper Sack (2002), written expressly to raise funds for The Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel; Love to the Third Power (2004), a series of five Christian stories, each followed with a reference to passages from Scripture, and A Bee On Your Face (2004), a children's book tailored for toddlers to second graders replete with hand painted illustrations by professional Indiana cartoonist Dee Bonner. Her latest book, PRISM (a novel) follows three generations of an American family from 1920-2020. PRISM is the culmination of more than 12 years of research and writing. As her other works, PRISM boasts stellar, independent reviews and is double-spaced for easy reading.
