Experts from all over the world have long praised the benefits of water, within and without, for overall human health. Surfers for Autism, a 501 (c) (3) chairtable organization, was built with the idea of FUN in mind first and foremeost.  But Don Ryan, founder of SFA and others who work with him can't help but take note of the deeper benefits too.  First appearing on ICAA Radio last year, much has happened with the Surfers and their clients since then.  Tune in for the fun and the conversation today and see what's up and how you can join in the activities.

Formed in December of 2007, SFA has grown from a handful of dedicated volunteers to a full-fledged, traveling philanthropic road show that binds communities in ways hard to describe. The locals are stunned when they show up to their beach on a Saturday morning to see thousands of children, families and volunteers bonded in pure joy. The goal is to bring this feeling to as many communities as possible, but the only way for this to happen is through strong support and sponsorship. “We are adding more events in Florida and beyond, and we really need to take sponsorship to the next level. We are a volunteer-run organization and depend completely on our sponsors to provide the resources, goods and services that make everything possible,” said SFA President Don Ryan.
