Larry Green-1 Larry Green-2 Principal Lawrence Green of SeaWind Elementary has won the Mind the Gap Award, the national ICAA education appreciation award. The award is presented twice per school year and Mr. Green is the recipient of the Winter 2011 certificate of appreciation. Parents nominated Mr. Green for the award for his work with students on the Autism spectrum. Green worked as an educator starting in 1978 and his administrative career began in 1995. Congratulations to Principal Green. We are proud of your work with students on the Autism spectrum and all of the students at SeaWind are lucky to have you. Cathy Brennan, district public information officer called to follow up with ICAA regarding this award. ICAA President, Emily Malabey informed Brennan that these awards are based on parent and community submissions,the board then verifies information, and decides who will be the recipient of the Mind the Gap award. Anyone in the United States can be nominated for their work in education.
