Dr. Marny Turvill received her MD degree from the University

of Rochester and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Chicago.  She practiced pediatrics for 13 years
across a wide range of settings, including private practice, hospital clinic, inpatient pediatrics, and neonatal intensive
care, and she was very involved with medical student and resident education. Her own health problems with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, beginning in 2002, forced her to completely change her lifestyle.     As she learned how to remove chemicals from her own home in order to create a safe environment for herself, she gained and entirely new understanding of “everyday products” and the lack of safety regulations and labeling requirements for them.
In 2006, she left her medical practice to open Healthy Green Goods, a retail store in Evanston, Illinois, that carries toxin-free products for the home.  The products offered include personal care and home cleaning products, candles, lunch gear and water bottles, zero-VOC paint, wool carpet, organic mattresses and bedding, window shades, water filters and air filters.
