Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with Anna Danes!

What a delight to find and hear Anna Danes!  Thanks to Rick Scott in Los Angeles for making the introduction - what would a radio host do without the excellent promotion specialists around her?  We'd be LOST!

This beautiful artist has endured much in her life.  She escaped communist Poland as a child.  With her parents, she made the journey to Sweden - then Canada.  She sang when she was little - in Church - but that didn't "stick."  It wasn't until she had a daughter of her own that she decided to give voice AGAIN to that superbly honest instrument.

Anna experienced a rocky marriage - and the ending of it was painful.  While she was experiencing hope anew - recording her latest CD - she received more bad news.  The diagnosis of cancer.  Rather than fold her tent and go home, Anna was resolute. She decided to write a blog called "Cancer Part I: Vanity Saved My Life."  She wanted to be an inspiration to others who might be traveling that same road.  She was already so full of gratitude, recording in the same Studio A at Capitol - where idols Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole used the same microphone - she felt compelled to give back.

This former lawyer and devoted Mom want "Find Your Wings" to be personal for anyone who hears it.  Anna sold a car in order to finance the album.  She has BEEN through the mill regarding her past, present and future - so EVERYTHING was poured into this effort.  And you are going to HEAR everything - in terms of emotion - on this project.  Longing, loss, hope, hearbreak, anticipation, and excitement.  Anna Danes is able to convey so much with a simple turn of phrase.  Breathtaking simplicity.  What REAL music does.  Join us on 12/1 for a sweet way to welcome December!  Anna joins us as soon as she wants :)  We are READY for her!
