It's always so wonderful to welcome back a friend!  And what a talented, beloved friend Ken Navarro is...respected and appreciated in his home state of Maryland - and adored all over the world for his astoundingly beautiful and consistently soul-satisfying music.

And you might ask (because you're curious!): okay, Ken has been a guest on "Hybrid Jazz" twice before now - what's up THIS time?  So glad you asked :-D The new project from Ken is called "Ruby Lane" - and it's going to blow your mind!  We have heard so many albums from this artist - since 1990 - and each project seems to get more interesting and passionate.  Full of the tender memories and tributes that Ken carries with him - a postcard or a snapshot of life that stays with us.  His guitar does that.  It almost speaks the words that we'd say if we could.

Ken built this foundation when he worked in Los Angeles.  A sought-after session player, he recorded with Doc Severinsen, Nell Carter, Alex Acuna, Ann Jillian (remember her?!) and so many more.  And then his own career started - whew, did he share the stage with countless artists!  And they were thrilled to be next to KEN.  His work on that guitar is known and revered.  All you have to do is listen to the many "works of art" (they really are) that have come before "Ruby Lane" - fans will recall "Love Coloured Soul" and "The Meeting Place."  Most assuredly, "The Grace of Summer Light", "Dreaming of Trains" and "The Test of Time" - that's when we last spoke to Ken.  NOW, a whole new chapter begins for him!

Join us on 4/8/2014 for our get-together...it's sure to be filled with positive talk and energy - with us, this isn't just new age speak, either :)  Ken and yours truly have much to express, gratitude-wise.  You'll FEEL it!
