If we're going to talk about Dontae Winslow, it's going to be a matter of saying: "Oh, WAIT - there's MORE!"

Seriously, that's the way it is.  This man is one of the most profound success stories that I've ever heard.  Growing up in a decidedly rough part of Baltimore, Dontae found refuge from the streets and his home life by playing his trumpet.  Baltimore School of the Arts, New School for Social Research, Peabody Conservatory - Masters degree in European Classical Music Performance.  As you can see, even his STUDIES are dizzying!

But WAIT - there's MORE!

Encouraged by the late Tupac Shakur, Dontae moved to New York where he became involved in the Jazz scene - and was mentored by Roy Hargove.  Now, keep in mind that he had been fully entrenched in hip hop while in Baltimore - so Jazz was another genre to conquer.  And he has conquered MANY.

There's just so much that one can say about this amazing trumpeter/producer/arranger/songwriter and profound lover of children.  Yes, Dontae is passionately involved with the education and future of kids - so much so that he produced a project called "Change a Life, Change the World."  But wait - there's more!  He won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Childrens' category.  And while we're talking awards, let's mention The Peabody Young Master's Award.  And let's throw in the 2003 fellowship to the Monk Institute.

We're not done by a long shot.  Dontae has worked with a Who's Who of The Music Business - including Justin Timberlake.  On break now to promote "Enter the Dynasty" (as in Winslow Dynsasty with his incredible wife, MaShica and son, Jedi), Dontae is about to thrill his hometown crowd with a CD Release Party.  If you are READY for music to thrill you, then you'll be listening on 3/11/2014!
