Growing up in the St. Louis neighborhood of Maplewood/Richmond Heights, Lynne Fiddmont had no idea that she could sing.  Hard to believe, right?!  It wasn't until the year that her Mom took her to Broadway to see "The Wiz" with Stephanie Mills, that her ears (and EYES) were opened. So impressed was she that she must have took to imitiating Stephanie's songs around the house - maybe not realizing just HOW good she was.  In any case, later that year Lynne won the lead in a school production of "Our Town."  And guess what role she tackled next?  DOROTHY :-D

Local notoriety stepped up: Lynne won the area Junior Miss Pageant.  Off to Drake University and itching to sing as well as study, she transferred to Boston University.  Things took off here mightily. She had been singing four nights a week while earning her degree in Public Relations.  When school was finished with no job in sight, Lynne took to Boston Commons to sing for tips.  A Berklee Professor heard her and offered her a scholarship!

Amazing story - and it continued...our guest moved to Los Angeles and was quickly hired by The Crusaders, sight unseen.  Work with Bill Withers followed - then Lou Rawls.  Rickey Minor got Lynne work with highly visible TV shows and her name was truly established.  Then, in 1986, Stevie Wonder hired her for his band.  Out of hundreds of those who auditioned, Lynne was the only one chosen that very night.  A BIG deal!

Hey, Barbra and Latifah and Elton know how talented this "Lady" is as well ;)  As did George Duke, who worked with Lynne every chance he got.

Beautiful musical projects under her belt, Lynne's latest is "The Spirit of Christmas."  Her holiday tours are in full swing - and we're celebrating!

Our last show of 2013 with a friend - with a thank you to ALL for this year!
