This may be the 7th or 8th time that Jaared and I have spoken via interview.  We've known each other since WSMJ days in Baltimore - and Lord knows that we've had some conversations about music and the industry privately.  When we let it all hang out, though?  Watch OUT!  LOL!

There are so many layers to this uber-talented artist that it's a pleasure to speak with him.  He has opinions and will SHARE them with you, especially if you ask :)  From the state of Jazz to politics to the value of loyalty, we've discussed what's important.

Some valuable points about Jaared's "layering" - his talent not only includes alto sax - but soprano and tenor.  And EWI. And he can repair what HE plays and what YOU play.  AND he can sing like nobody else!  Recently, his friend here discovered that he is also an amazing pool player - and may have decided to go "on the road" because of his profound abilities.  Yes, we're talking championships!

We'll also take a trip down Memory Lane - via past musical projects from our guest.  It has been a while since Jaared's debut, "Foreward", came to our attention.  And, brother - did it GET our attention!  "Hangtime" and "Addiction" and "Manhattan Nights" - all such wonderful Jazz-infused journeys - your ears need the treat of hearing that glorious saxophone and that voice.  And you'll get it.

Jaared might have something to say about the new releases that will get focus, too.  There are several in the mix for Thursday, August 22nd, 2013.  Both familiar and unfamiliar names - this is going to be exciting!

As will Jaared's visit - I can't remember a time when it hasn't been anything less than fascinating.  And that's because HE is!  Welcome back our good friend - he kicks off the show!
