Call in to speak with the host
This is what Norman Woods, also known as N-Side, has to say about what his work means these days:
"Soul dialog is what takes place when you are engaged in meaningful conversation. This is the type of conversation, where each individual can feel as though they can contribute and participate. Transformative empowerment occurs when they walk away with their own enriched thoughts and a stronger sense of being, a sense of purpose and direction. Anyone can speak using catchy phrases and display colorful intellectualism. But it takes compassion and humility to touch and move a soul"
And that is just scratching the surface of our next guest. Having been homeless and lost for a time in life, Norman's mission is to find. And heal the souls adrift in their seemingly hopeless world. Our spoken word artist is based in California and has been on the show months ago. It's time to update N-Side and The Tribe - and savor the new vision of his words, backed by beautiful Jazz instrumentation.
"Feels Good To Be Back" is the latest project - an EP that was recorded live - and you'll get to hear a sense of where Norman has been, where he is and where the journey will take him from here. "Succession In Repression" is one of those tracks - a piece that has been played on "Hybrid Jazz" more than once.
It is with honor that I present my friend, the acclaimed artist, N-Side. He joins us in the second hour of the show. The music starts, however, at one p.m. Eastern!
