Whew!  It's January and the Jazz is jumpin'!  There are two incredible artists who are the focus of our first show of the new year - on January 8th - and you'll be JUMPIN' outta your seat when you hear the goods!

We kick off the show at one p.m. Eastern time with saxophonist Mike MacArthur.  Born in New York State and now residing in Florida, Mike has been on his A game for a while.  Out of college, he toured with Maynard Ferguson - then Diane Schuur.

Through the course of years on the road, he became friends with many in the contemporary Jazz circles - but also played with Frankie Valli, Rick Derringer and Roger Waters.  His inspirations are rooted in legend: Cannonball and Desmond - in Mike's future, there will be many who say that HE inspired.  One listen to "Feels Like Home" and you'll agree.

Jackie Ryan cannot be described in anything less than superlatives.  A seasoned veteran who leaves Jazz critics speechless, her new CD drops on January 15th.  You can hear samples at her website and you'll become speechless, too.  "Listen Here" is the culmination of her musical journey, given passage via her Irish baritone Dad and Mexican Mom - who perfumed the air around Jackie's childhood home with her lilting folk songs.

This amazing talent has played with some of the greatest Jazz artists that have ever lived - and make no mistake: so is SHE.  Her double CD, "Doozy" stayed number one on the Jazz charts for seven dizzying weeks!

Are we excited?  Hah!  What do YOU think?!
