What a show you'll hear on Tuesday!  It starts off with a bang - or should I say RIPP?!  The leader of The Rippingtons, Russ Freeman, joins us at 1 p.m. Eastern time.  Over 25 years after Russ formed the band, a new project has given our ears another reason to celebrate.  "Built to Last" is appropriately titled - and we'll talk about it and The Ripps tour - which brings them to our region - and maybe yours.

Also, it's time to catch up with the amazingly versatile songbird, Lynne Fiddmont!  When I saw her last, she was tearing up the stage with "Jazz in Pink" - but there may be a whole lot more to Lynne than you know.  For example: did you know that the Crusaders hired her, sight unseen?  Or that Stevie Wonder chose Lynne from the many dozens of singers that auditioned for him?  Oh, she has great stories!  And two CDS that need to be mentioned: "Flow" and "Lady."  We'll have a ball, talking ALL of it!

There's more - The Baltimore Jazz Education Project fundraiser is on Saturday, October 6th, and Gregory Thompkins is going to fill us in on what this glorious mission is!  Greg has visited us on the show to discuss where his wondrous saxophone has taken him, but this time the talk turns to "giving back" - you'll be glad that you tuned in to hear about this musical endeavor!

AND - it's "First Tuesday!"  You know what that means: artists call in with their gigs - at 2 p.m. this time!

Busy week, exciting times - join us for a sahweet show!
