For the past few weeks, you've been hearing me say that "Sahara" would be visiting our show.  And now the time has come!

And who is this uniquely named act who has been getting so much attention?  There are two members in Sahara, and they're married.  Born in Dublin, Trish and Dave Long had became known all over Ireland for the rich tapestry that their combined talents wove. Trish was unique in that she played sax - this was the 80's - and she found herself getting invitations from bands to play all kinds of music - it was fascinating to have a female who knew her instrument so well!

Dave was an electrician by day, but a singer and guitarist at night.  When he and Trish were finally able to combine their music, they "clicked."  And their native country - and beyond recognized that then-named "Interfusion" was special.

Due to the economic struggles on home turf, they decided to move to Australia, and their music changed.  The moodiness of the Emerald Isle they had known met the lighter breezes and the sun of their adopted homeland - and Sahara was born.

Radio and TV have embraced the duo - as well as the Little River Band and UK-based Jazz guitarist Martin Taylor.  Independently produced work has been praised, and that leads us to tell you about "There Is This Place I Go" - the new project from our guests on August 23rd, 2012: Sahara.

Join us at 3 p.m. Eastern US time - and FIVE A.M. Australia time!  We'll have an extra pot of coffee for Trish and Dave - and we'll have a wealth of rich music and stories for YOU!
