Mississippi born Randy Everett is a multimedia artist who knows what I'm saying. Self-taught at an early age - piano, then guitar - he is also a painter of witty and inspirational canvas - and he is also the recording engineer of an award-winning studio.
He was always interested in drawing, but that took a back seat to music when Randy was in his teens. A hands-on experience in recording changed his life, and he has been a producer and engineer ever since.
From the Christmas gift he received at 17 - a reel-to-reel tape recorder - Randy built a career - eventually forging a path for Terminal Recording Studios in his home state. And setting the tone for creative Contemporary Jazz that is fused with the inspirations that fueled him: from Jimi to Wes, from Coltrane to Mahavishnu, from Chick to Zawinul. You'll hear a touch of those, plus Pat Metheney and Randy Brecker - and cooling threads of Ambient - when you feast your ears on "My Flying Dream."
