We're so proud of Ken Navarro in the Baltimore area...he has done more with his music than so many.  And it reflects well on us - because Ken is a guitarist/writer and producer of rare talent.

You'd have to go back in time to ask a few household names about that (we wish we could!)  - like Doc Severinsen, Nell Carter, and Vicki Carr.  He worked with those artists and many more when he was a sought-after session man in Los Angeles.  We're talking about the 80's now - and with the new decade - Ken's debut album came to pass.  The promise of "The River Flows" kept renewing, year after year since 1990.

National - then international success - dozens of weeks on the charts - charmed critics swooning again and again over this unassuming craftsman who was able to infuse sweet soul into his refreshing contemporary Jazz.  Guitar as we have never heard it.  And it has reached full-bloom perfection in "The Test of Time."

Ken's latest CD is a solo effort, with melodies/bass lines/harmonies and even percussion on a single guitar - with no overdubs.  This is a master who makes work look like a walk on the beach!  And the 12 songs, carefully chosen, might just take you there - or to an island - or to Paris - or home.  What Ken has been able to do with beloved songs from the past is remarkable...he has breathed new life into precious memories.  The effect is unforgettable.

Ken will talk about his out-of-the-box approach to music and to events that feature performance.  He'll have a special one at Ram's Head on July 8th, 2012 - this Sunday.  Friends will gather and we'll be collectively mesmerized.  Nothing is finer than hearing an artist who feels drawn to a song and interprets it better than you could "Imagine" (one of the songs on the CD :)
