Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey and the Eubie Live Project!

A special show is on tap, Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m.  Yes, we are still on this schedule until next week!

Gail Marten and Troy Burton will join me, to discuss the exciting and important "Eubie Live" project.  Gail, besides being a most respected singer and songwriter, is the designer and editor of the Baltimore Jazz Alliance newsletter.  She also is passionately involved with this project.  But no one more so than the Executive Director of The Eubie Blake Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, Troy Burton.  Together, they will speak about this crucial "Kickstarter" fundraiser for the compilation CD known as "Eubie Live."

Proceeds from the sale of this forthcoming work will generate revenue to make sure that gifted but underprivileged children can continue to attend Eubie's Summer Camp.  A camp in which the young and talented can be immersed in vocal and instrumental Jazz, theater, dance and visual arts workshops.  But we have a deadline of July 11th to meet - so we have to get moving so that these kids can get busy with making their dreams come true!

On this compilation: Ira Sullivan, Maysa, Larry Willis, and many other regional and national greats who have played live at this beloved Institute and Center.  We'll tell you how to help the cause when Gail and Troy join me!  The show starts at 5 - and we might have a few guests joining us to let you know how seriously we take this promise to our youth in Baltimore.
