What an amazing talent to grace our show! From the city that has seen its share, Baltimore, comes the beautiful and gifted vocalist/composer/festival producer Tracy Hamlin!
A former "Miss Baltimore", Tracy was groomed for greatness at the Peabody School of Music - and emerged to find a world waiting to hear her. She has worked with some of the best in the business: Carlos Santana, Marcus Miller, Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler and the late Wayman Tisdale. Pieces of a Dream knows well how formidable her talents are - Tracy was with the group when two of the act's CDS blessed our ears in 2002 and 2005 respectively: "Love's Silhouette" and "No Assembly Required."
Tracy has been touring with Gloria Gaynor recently, but her solo career has been buzzing right alongside. Listen to her debut, "Seasons", and her follow-up, "Better Days", and you'll hear why she has played to packed houses all over the globe - as well as realize why she is in such demand by superstars. Because her voice IS one!
Oh - and wait until you hear what she says about this year's St. Lucia Jazz Festival...She should KNOW! LOL! You'll have to hear the rest of this when she guests on "Hybrid Jazz!"
Join us on the show come Tuesday. Tracy Hamlin's voice is exactly what we need to hear the hope of Spring :)
