This episode starts off with a lengthy discussion of this week's biggest MAC news: The Central Michigan player legal issues. CMU announced Monday that Thomas Rawls is suspended indefinitely, and we've now found out that he's facing three felony theft charges from an incident that happened in April. Also Monday, CMU dismissed Andrew Flory from the team. Flory was one of two CMU players arrested over the summer for shoplifting from a Walmart. Taking in the previous arrests of players from Dan Enos' team, the three discuss what this means for Enos' tenure at CMU and ask the question: does Enos have control of his team? At the 17 minute mark (yes, this is a LONG episode) the three recap what happened in Week 3, including the biggest surprises and best performances of the week. At the 28 minute mark they begin looking ahead at Week 4. At the 37 minute mark they answer some questions from the Hustle Bag, and finally, at the 45 minute mark Bryan and Chris answer the question, "Is Ohio's offense too conservative?".  00:54:00Mid American HustlenoSports Talk,Sports,College Football,MACtionThis week on Mid-American Hustle Alex and Bryan are joined by Hustle Belt contributor Chris Manning to recap the week that was, look to the future, and answer sEpisode 31: What Does Phillip Ely's Injury Mean For Toledo's Title Hopes?http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/08/episode-31-what-does-phillip-elys-injury-mean-for-toledos-title-hopesSportshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/08/episode-31-what-does-phillip-elys-injury-mean-for-toledos-title-hopes/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/08/episode-31-what-does-phillip-elys-injury-mean-for-toledos-title-hopesMon, 08 Sep 2014 18:30:00 GMTEpisode 31: What Does Phillip Ely's Injury Mean For Toledo's Title Hopes?Today on Mid-American Hustle, Bryan and Alex react to the news of Toledo starting quarterback Phillip Ely's ACL tear, and how they think it'll impact the Rockets' chances going forward. Obviously losing a quarterback is never good, especially not when he may just be the best player in the conference and a key player in your team's hopes of winning a conference title.  To get some perspective on what the loss of Johnson means to the team, I spoke with Thurman Dieter, one of our Bowling Green experts here at The Belt. Dieter and I talk about the injury to Johnson, the loss at WKU, what BGSU fans should expect out of their new starting quarterback, Jason Knapke, and took a look ahead at what the rest of the season has in store for the Falcons in this 30 minute episode (the 30th episode, too) of Mid-American Hustle. 00:31:00Mid American HustlenoSports Talk,College Football,Bowling Green Falcons,BGSU,MACtionYesterday Bowling Green fans got some rather terrible unexpected news when head coach dino Babers announced that starting quarterback Matt Johnson was likely doEpisode 29: What We Learned From Week 1 of the 2014 MAC Football Seasonhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/03/episode-29-what-we-learned-from-week-1-of-the-2014-mac-football-seasonSportshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/03/episode-29-what-we-learned-from-week-1-of-the-2014-mac-football-season/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/hustlebelt/2014/09/03/episode-29-what-we-learned-from-week-1-of-the-2014-mac-football-seasonWed, 03 Sep 2014 17:00:00 GMTEpisode 29: What We Learned From Week 1 of the 2014 MAC Football SeasonWith Week 1 in the books, Bryan and Alex hopped on the Mics the other day to digest what happened. After going 12-2 in 2013, which included a loss in the MAC Championship and a loss in the Poinsettia Bowl, NIU seems likely to take a step back in 2014, but just how far back? The Huskies do lose Jordan Lynch, Jimmie Ward, and their entire starting defensive line, but manage to return 16 starters overall, including four on an offensive line that has been among the MAC's best. Who will be the Huskies quarterback this fall? what does Cameron Stingily's injury do to the Huskies' running game? How will this defense, which has been the weak point of NIU teams past, fare this fall? And what will need to happen for 2014 to bee a successful season for NIU fans? Pete Seymour joins Alex and Bryan as they revisit the magical ride that was 2013 and look ahead to what 2014 holds for the Falcons. Bowling Green, thanks to the emergence of stud quarterback Matt Johnson and his running back partner in crime Travis Greene, rode their way to a MAC Championship in 2013, knocking off the 12th ranked NIU Huskies in Detroit rather handedly. But shortly after capturing the championship, fifth-year head coach Dave Clawson left for Wake Forest. Insert former Eastern Illinois head coach Dino Babers, and his Baylor offense, and suddenly BG looks like the offensive juggernaut of the mid-west. But no coaching change goes off 100 percent perfect, and with Chris Gallon likely out for the year, and some questions on the line, there's potential for some bumps in the road for BGSU this fall. 00:33:00Mid American Hustlenosports talk, college football, football, bowling greenOn Episode 26, we continue our look ahead at the 2014 MAC Football season with some discussion of the Bowling Green Falcons.
