Avoid Triclosan at all costs! Be aware. Be very aware of the pesticide, triclosan, contained in household antibacterial products: "experts question whether this is really necessary for everyday household use. In fact, soaps that contain triclosan have not been proven to be more effective in preventing normal household illnesses than ordinary soap and water."

Use alternatives to this pesticide. Yes, it is a pesticide that is being put in your toothpaste, body soap, facial cleanser, and dish liquid to name a few. Try something more natural if you are a "germaphobe." For example: grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, tea tree oil, and lavender oil. Plain old soap and water is just fine.
