Hurricane Katrina was the deadliest and most destructive Atlantic hurrican of the 2005 hurrican season. At least 1,836 people died in the actual hurricane and in the subsequent floods. Today, August 29, 2012, marks the 7th Year Anniversary.

Tonight, we will revisit one of the most devastating natural catastropes in history.  We will discuss the faulty levy system, the breakdown in governmental response time, lack of resources, outcome for the victims of this horrendous tragedy and how they have moved on to rebuild their lives.

I am please to have a special guest, Author Susanna K. Green, who will be sharing her experiences how she weathered the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and how she rebuilt her life.
