Katie Parla has a BA in the History of Art from Yale University, a Master’s Degree in Italian Gastronomic Culture from the Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata”, and a sommelier certificate from the Federazione Italiana Sommelier Albergatori Ristoratori. She has written books for National Geographic Society, Time Out, Rough Guides, Dorling Kindersley, Fodor’s, and Insight Guides. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveller, and Travel+Leisure. She is the author of the blog Parla Food and the dining app Rome For Foodies.
katie provides private in-depth tours of rome and southern italy for small groups (max 6 people). Her offerings include archeological and art historical itineraries, as well as wine, food, and beer tours.
