Michael Jackson left his blood, sweat, and tears on dance floors across the world, and so have every combatant in the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs. Yes, combatant; that's what they are. The famous Rodney Dangerfield quote, "I went to see a fight and a hockey game broke out" has never been more fitting. Already surpassing the suspension total from last years post-season, how can the NHL correct this goon mentality epidemic running wild in a sport so concerned with protecting its stars? Is NHL legend and dean of discipline Brendan Shanahan to blame? Could he have prevented this outbreak of asininity? Has the inconsistency of punishments fueled the fire? No, those aren't rhetorical questions. But maybe they should be. Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti and George "the Howitzer" Gerbo will break what they've seen so far in the first round, brawls, thugish antics, and maybe even some actual game analysis, as well as, previewing the rest of the gauntlet that will eventually award Lord Stanley's Cup. While the Buzz-saw is known for his famous anger outburst, even Mike Asti is sick of watching MMA on ice! Moving from the rink to the diamond, a couple polar opposite franchises are off to red hot starts in MLB. Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals are leading the pack. Will this last? Who is more built for the long hall? Did anyone see either of these teams coming (I believe Mike did....), All this and NBA teams jockeying for final positioning. The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show, always dangerous but never classless. And always conquering sports radio, one day at a time....
