The covenant promise which gives Israel the land everlasting was bestowed upon the seed of Abram, which is written within Genesis 13 vs 15:

"for all the land which you see I will give to you and your descendants forever" If we continue reading into vs 16 we will clearly read Gods unquestionable unshakeable covenant: "And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earh; so that if a man could number he dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered". The covenant was two-fold, it was not only a covenant bestowing the land to Abraham, but also bestowing the land to all future descendants, never ending. As long as there is a descendant of Abraham living on this earth the land of Israel shall belong to them, and by the history of Israel there remains descendants of Abraham.
The conflict over the land began during the conflict between Sarai and Hagar, her handmaid. A promise was given unto Abram, God promised him a son, a descendant who would carry on the seed and inherit the land. Abram brought the news of Gods promise to his wife Sarai who inturn laughed at the news, critical of the promise because she was a women who was well past her prime for bearing children. The thought arose within Sarai for Abram to go before Hagar the handmaid and make himself known to her by marrying her and having relations with her. Abram succumbed to the fleshly ambitions of his wife rather than the spiritual truths of God and married Hagar, of which Ishmael was later born. Join us tonight, bring your Bible and a cup of coffee.
