Waqas Mustafeez, Winner of Snapshot Scholar 1 and Prof. Alberto Salleo, Granted Departmental Award

Waqas Mustafeez won the inaugural Snapshot Scholar photo contest. He formally received the award at a ceremony at Stanford University on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Mustafeez won the Salleo Research Group an additional $2,000 gift, which was also awarded directly to Professor Salleo himself, at the same event. We'll talk with them about winning the award, what it means and what they're doing with the dough! There's still time to enter the second Snapshot Scholar award contest, which kicked off on September 30, 2010 and runs into November.
