The future belongs to the dreamers. Only the dreamers who believe and put forth the work actually achieve their dream. Louis Funches Jr. (A.K.A LOUKANE) born in September 1982 is currently poised to achieve his dream by becoming the next major artist out of the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. LOUKANE grew up in the Midwest until the age of seven. After being separated from his other siblings, who where placed in foster care, LOUKANE and his younger sister were forced to move south to Blytheville, Arkansas to live with their father. LOUKANE move down south was not a smooth transition as anticipated. Years after getting to Arkansas his father became ill. LOUKANE then had to take on the responsibility of taking care of his father and his sister. Despite the family challenges LOUKANE still found the faith to continue to excel in the classroom. While attending Blytheville high school. LOUKANE began taking band classes. As a result of LOUKANE new found love for music, he began to develop a passion for the art of creating music. At the age of seventeen, LOUKANE decided to come back to St. Louis for the summer to visit his brother. Unfortunately, during that summer his father’s health worsened. Consequently, LOUKANE’S father had to be placed in a home. Upset by the news of his ailing father LOUKANE made a turn for the worse to deal with the pain of a rocky childhood. As a result LOUKANE began experimenting with drugs and alcohol. Due to t depression LOUKANE’S motivation for his music began to diminish. Seeing the negative changes in LOUKANE his brother decided to take custody of him to get him back on track. With the tuff love of his older brother, LOUKANE began to re focus on life. Before the summer was out he was back in the studio working on his first demo called Triple Diamond.
