Join us as Bob Brewin, author and Editor-at-Large for Government Executive, shares his firsthand experience learning to live with combat PTSD.
Bob is a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the USMC from 1963-1967. Bob shares his position on recovery and his belief that before anyone can deal with PTSD, they need to be at chemical ground zero, free of all drugs, including those prescribed by doctors.
Bob is writing an ongoing series of articles (Broken Warriors, Examining the invisible wounds of war) on mental health issues in the military and the resulted consequences for troops and their families after nearly a decade of repeated deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.
