karen-whitigKaren Whiting, a freelance writer and author of ten nonfiction books, loves to let creativity splash onto the page as she writes. She has family that lives with chronic pain (her son and daughter) and we're so excited to talk with her! Whether offering creative solutions for busy women or designing crafts for tweens, her books reflect how imagination and writing intersect. Whiting’s books include the popular tween series God’s Girls (inspirational craft books for tween girls) and Secrets of Success for Women: Time. Her more than 400 articles and devotions have been published in over four-dozen magazines including Brio magazine, Focus on the Family, Today’s Christian Women, Reminisce, and Devo-Zine. She has been a writer of children’s church programs for Charisma Life, parenting articles for Focus on Your Child, and family activities for Take Out: Family Faith on the Go. Karen is a speaker for women’s groups, retreats, schools, and mother-daughter events. She has been married over thirty years and grew a functional family of five children and believes others can too! She has a heart for encouraging families to connect, serve, and treasure one another.
