Interview #29 Cyndi Moor Jones, LMT

Speaker and author of Finding Hope for Your Journey through Breast Cancer, Yvonne Ortega will interview Cyndi Moor Jones, LMT. Cyndi is a licensed massage therapist and owner of Abundant Life Massage PLLC in Spokane, WA. She has worked in healthcare for thirty years, initially in occupational therapy at Providence Hospital, Everett, WA, rehabilitation unit, then in therapeutic massage. Five years ago, just after her 40th birthday, a routine mammogram revealed triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma in her left breast. The cancer was so close to the chest wall she still could not feel it, even after diagnosis. Cyndi received aggressive cancer treatment within a research study through the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) and is now cancer-free. In her desire to help other cancer patients and survivors, Cyndi is currently pursuing additional training and Certification in Oncology Massage through the Peregrine Institute of Oncology Massage. Cyndi will discuss how massage from practitioners with this advanced training can benefit cancer patients and survivors. She will also share some lessons she learned through her own cancer experience and related faith journey.
