Speaker and author of Finding Hope for Your Journey through Breast Cancer, Yvonne Ortega will interview George M. Williams JR, a male breast cancer survivor. He had cancer in 2007. George speaks to groups through the American Cancer Society and also speaks at churches, clubs and community events. He will speak at the Minority Women Breast Cancer Society in Virginia Beach on September 18 at the Founder's Inn before an audience of 500. George is retired from the Newport News Shipyard with 42 years of service. He has done significant volunteer work at the Boys and Girls Club in Newport News. He was the president of the Achievable Dream Academy for two years and also volunteered there. He was president of the Achievable Dream Academy PTA for two years. George is a member of the Orcutt Senior Citizens Club and likes to watch Western movies and listen to old school music from the 1970s. Best of all, George is a Dallas Cowboy fan.
