Speaker and author of Hope for the Journey through Cancer, Yvonne Ortega will interview Dr. Sandy Goldberg. As Founder and Chairman of A Silver Lining Foundation, Dr. Sandy Goldberg's mission is to ensure socioeconomic status does not impact an individual's ability to obtain cancer resource information, quality of life services and the ability to obtain timely cost-free mammography. Dr. Sandy is an active chair and board member on the American Cancer Society's Downtown Leadership Board, the Loretto Foundation and the University of Illinois at Chicago's Medical Advisory Council. She also volunteers for numerous organizations including The American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes, Stand Against Cancer and Breast Cancer Network of Strength. Dr. Sandy Goldberg has been a regular contributor to NBC5 News since 1994. Her regularly schedules series, "Food for Thought" and "Better Health" podcasts are featured weekly on NBC News and on NBCChigo.com. Throughout the years she has appeared in several special series, notably Real Life Weight Loss and One Woman's Story, a history of her own struggle with breast cancer.
