Americans move fairly often although the 2010 Current Population Survey (CPS) reported the lowest move rates since they started tracking this data in 1940. The numbers might still surpirse you as 35.4% of Americans have moved during the last 5 years (2005 to 2010). Certainly our last 2 guests told the story of "frequent movers" Tina Gleisner and Deb Gilroy, so we wanted to learn what it's like when you buy your home and stay there for a lifetime (or so it seems).

Denise Thaler Reisenweber lives in Erie PA with her husband Jim. They've lived there, in the same house for 30 years and Denise is Deb's sister, so we know it's more of a mindset than a special moving gene you inherit.

While some people, like myself, move fairly frequently, others, like Denise find that investing in their long term home works best for them. This is going to be a great show as we learn from Denise just what staying put means and how she fed her inner decorator over the years, how rooms were made to function differently during changing phases of her life and what her future plans include.
