Owning a Breckenridge homes is not the American dream. It only makes you poorer and somewhat "tied to the company store." Breckenridge Property taxes have increased to levels that if you add them up and divide by 12 this is the starting basis for your rent calculation. Add in maintenance, repair and insurance, and if you got into the Breckenridge home market late and your value has decreased add in the the difference between market value and you real estate mortgage. Solution: Abolish property taxes. realize this is not purely a Bush or Obama thing. This is year's of overbuilding (as the story says) across the real estate Foreclosures in Breckenridge marketplace that is only really smacking people as the bubble burst (which it had to do at some point
