    Founded in 2002 in Barbourville, Kentucky, owner Cynthia Fields began creating purses, totes and diaper bags from her own designs from a closet-sized spare bedroom. As her business grew, she expanded to custom window treatments, bedding, slipcovers, and baby bedding sets. In 2007 a move to Mt. Washington, Kentucky,she reopened her business as The Well-Dressed Window, focusing on custom drapery and bedding. Cynthia was a scholarship awardee to the Slipcover Summit 2009 in Seattle Washington.

    Nancy Mims is Co-founder and Creative Director of Mod Green Pod. Prior to Mod Green Pod, Nancy was a highly successful textile print designer for nearly a decade. Frequently cited in the design press for her unique approach to textiles and her own personal style, Nancy enjoys combining her keen sense of color with her belief that a healthy home need not be a boring one. She lives in Austin with her husband and two sprouts. When not doodling for the next collection or dreaming up the company’s next big project, Nancy can usually be found tending to her garden, shopping at a local farmer’s market for tomorrow night’s tasty supper, or having an impromptu dance party in the living room with her kids.
