  HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TURNED DOWN FOR HEALTH CARE...................
  

  Tonight on blogtalkradio.com....COACH'S CORNER we have Athena Ford of the Philadelphia Unemployment Project and Antoinette Krauss......... Regional Health Care Organizer........ joining us for a forum on Health Care Reform...regardless of your political inclinations....this is a bill that will affect many Americans.

  
  

  I feel there is a lot that is misunderstood about our health care system and just what it takes to maintain good health.  That is why I started this show...many of the people that I deal with here in Philadelphia including myself do not have health care for certain treatments....some of them basic. They need some place to go and ask questions....and an office visit for a non-insured person on the average is 50 to 120 dollars.....visits cannot be frivolous!

  
  

  My belief is if we practice good health strategies our need for or........ over use of the health care system is diminished.... we maintain good weight, balanced diets and preventive strategies we help with our wellness....however IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE for PROFESSIONAL CARE when needed.  There are many gray areas as to just what kind of health care non-insured AMERICANS need...however when it becomes a threat to your life, or your family's or you will die without treatment....the rules should change.

  
  

  I also believe we do not need to throw a pill at every ailment or complaint we have.......the average doctor has waiting rooms jammed with patients.....long waits....and short 5 minute office visits in which a prescriptions written and then you are dismissed.

  
  

  Does this really make your feel cared for?

  Are you taking medication and you really do not know the side effects or are having some?

  Has a doctor or nurse NOT spend time with you.................and has been short or unprofessional with you?

  Have you been treated poorly or differently after a receptionist found out you do not have insurance?

  Have you been turned away for treatment because the medical practice or hospital would not accept a payment plan...?

  Are you handicapped and going without medicine and devices to help you get around??

  Do you have a serious life altering injury or illness and cannot afford help at home and you have no one to help you?

  Have you been dropped by insurance company and given a reason that makes sense?

  Has you premiums gone up after you have been diagnosed with a condition?

  Do you have a serious mental  condition and cannot afford to be evaluated or get treatment such as PTSD, AHD, BI-Polar Disorder,.....................etc?

  Are you afraid Health Care Reform is going to drain you financially with.... over taxation?

  Do you feel certain Conservative political factions are stonewalling this act for POLITICAL GAIN rather than taking into account the serious non-functioning issues the health care industry has now?

  Do you think despite all the media hype that we have been getting the total truth about Health Car Reform?  It depends on where you tune in you can tell where a station's alliances are by the type of news they hype!!!!

  If we can have Social Security.....then what is stopping us from streamlining a plan for ALL Americans................that is affordable.

  
  

  Is it big corporations stopping the bill......along with politicians who have special   interests with those corporations? I won't name them unless asked!!!

  Is it a poor plan...just what do we really know about it....except the FEAR that has been put into us by the media  via certain political concerns that it is Socialism?....something myself I found  to be alarming...that people actually believe that makes it a bad plan.

  Why does the AMA and AARP back the plan?
