Melvin Mckoy (aka P. Fire) born and raised in Fayetteville (Fayettenam), NC. As a young child I would always entertain my family and friends at cookouts and reunions. It seemed from their I was destined to be an entertainer. I didn't know in what capacity I would entertain though. While in Junior High, I realized my ability to play on words and put them into a song. I then realized a had the gift to rap at the age of 13. I then would find any talent show to enter with my crew/group. I would beatbox while other members of the crew would rap. Then it was P. Fires turn to ignite the show. You can tell I've come along way since the beatbox era. I love hip hop sires to much, I would incorporate a rap into my school projects. That made the project more interesting for the students, but the teacher thought otherwise. I lost focus of my dreams/aspirations as a teenager. I started hanging with the wrong people in the hood doing all types of things. While hanging in the streets I met up with someone (Rollin Weight) that could rap. He also had dreams of becoming a national rap star. He (Rollin Weight) then got me focusing on realizing my dreams/aspirations can come true, by introducing me to recording in a studio. Soon after that we put our minds and money together to form Home Grown Entertainment (HME) in 2000. I'm still keeping the street life within arms reach. Some years after first establishing the company. The street life caught up with me an I had to pay my debit to society. I finished with that in 2009 and released my first independent mixtape in 2010 called “P. Fire Da Renegade , Going HAM Fresh Out The Fedz.” It was instantly loved by all my fans and supporters. I'm also on the Fayettenam Finest presentsThe Antidote” project that came out in April 2011.
